anyone figure out a reliable way to barricade they’re residential doors and windows?

I’ve been using wood from pallets that I’ve gotten for free from nearby shipping hubs. I don’t know if that will help you but it’s the cheapest and easiest way to get reliably sturdy wood and there easy to come by.
